Accessibility

As an example of our commitment to accessibility, Hickory’s HQ at Eskmills Venue take the level of accessibility we provide very seriously and pride ourselves on the measures we take.  We constantly review accessibility provision and are committed to investment in updated services and facilities.

Grounds

A large, secure car park (CCTV monitored) on-site for 350 vehicles. Parking is free to all Hickory guests.

Designated accessible parking spaces available upon request all at the front of the building (within 15 meters of the entrance).

The approach to the front entrance is at level access.

Reception

A seating area is provided in the main reception area and the floor in level throughout.

The reception and main entrance has a hard, slip resistant floor and is well lit.

We have accessible toilets in the reception area.

Public areas

There are two ladies’ toilets and one gentleman’s accessible toilets in the public area of the building.

All doors, entrances and corridors are wide enough for wheelchairs, walking frames and pushchairs.

The main venue space has flexible seating.

Dining

Chefs are able to accommodate any special dietary requirements.

Staff can talk through the choice of dishes on offer.

All areas are spacious with a variety of seating arrangements.

Emergency Evacuation Procedures

All exits have level thresholds.

Emergency procedures are in place and assistance will be given in case of an emergency.
